Shadow99177's Pure Pking Guide.

I always get asked to help people with there pure PKing almost every day so I have finally decided to make a guide for this. It mostly just takes a lot of practice, but if you don't have the correct set ups you will be at a huge disadvantage.

There are many styles to PK and ways of doing things but this is what I reccomend and know from many many years of experiance to work well.

Levels
Attack---->99
Strength---->99
Def---->1 *tip-try not to accidently hit using block.*
Hitpoints---->99
Prayer---->1 (for 89 cb),52 pray (for 95 cb)

Melee PKing

Ok so first of all Melee PKing is the most simple of all the PKing styles as there is only one switch, which will be your special weapon.

Manta Rays or Sharks

Ok this is then end of "Melee PKing"

Hybrid PKing

~Hybrid PKing can be the most difficult as there much more to it and switches. This style is the most fun in my opinion and is the best if you are going PKing into deeper wilderness.
~When hybrid PKing freezing them to keep them still is your number one priority then you may switch to your range gear. Switching to the ranger gear is good beacuse it allows them to hit less if they are maging due to your higher mage defence bonus.
~Then it usually takes them to barrage/hit you 6 times before you can move again. On the 6th time I always like to equip my DDS if there bellow 65 HP and spec them out. This teqnique gets you the K0 very often as many newer players just don't expect it. If this fails use your mage again and run back away from them.
~You should always try to keep moving if you are not frozen and use all three of your styles to confuse your oppenent.

Basic Setup

Ring-->Berserker Ring

Shield-->Unholy Book-->Mage Book
Bolts-->Dragon Bolts(e)
Cape-->Either Sara,Zammy,or Guthix cape and if u want to add a firecape to your switches as it will help you.


~Inventory~
D scimmy or Abby whip
Rune Crossbow
Leather Body
Black D'hide chaps
Dds
Barrage Runes(Blood x200,death x400,water x600)
Saradomin and Zamorak brew(s)+Super restore(s)
Mantas or Sharks

Saradomin Brews

~Ok so first of all Sara brews are one of the most important things in your Inventory when you are tanking, although they don't heal as much as Manta Rays they can be much more effective. Manta rays heal 22(220) which is much more than a sara brew which only heals 15(150).But in lets say 4 items spaces, sara brews would take up three and a super restore another as they need to be at a 3:1 ratio. So the 3 Sara Brews would heal 180 fastly where as the 4 Manta Rays could only heal 88(880), which is not only slower but a lot less which makes a huge differance in wars.
~There are two ways you can use sara brews which are 3 doses of brew then 1 dose of Super Restore or if you take a low amount of brews you can always do 1 dose of Saradomin Brew and eat a manta, which gives no eating delay which will give you a total heal of 37(370) in less than a second.
~Another thing you should always do Is take a 1 dose of Saradomin Brew and 1 dose of Super Restore before you enter the wilderness so you have 1140 hp rather than 990 which will give you a small but good advantage.
~Once you have done using you brews make sure you always take a dose of a Zamorak Brew after the Super Restore to boost your stats back up to the highest they can possibly be.

So things to remember:
- Always have your brews at a 3:1 ratio.
- 1 dose of Super Restore for every 3 dose of Saradomin Brew.
- If your about to get speced out do Saradomin Brew + Manta ray for a 370 heal at once.
- Don't just take a full inv of brews as its a lot more clicking than just food.
- Always take a large amount to wars so you can survive for much longer.
- Use a Saradomin Brew to get to 1140HP before you go PKing.

HotKeys

~Hotkeys will give you much more speed when PKing which helps so much, even more when NH PKing.

Hotkeys may confuse you at first but are fairly easy to get use too.

The only hotkeys you will need are:

F1 - Inventory
F3 - Prayers
F4 - Spell Book
F5 - Special attack/style select/autocast

When I was first practacing these I found me missclicking the wrong ones a lot. So what I did was I removed the F2 key from my keyboard because in my case thats the one I was always miss clicking.

I prefer to keep 3 fingers only on the hotkeys F1, F3 and F4 as they are the ones I use most then I only switch to F5 when I'm about to use my special attack.

If you don't all ready use these I strongly suggest you Learn them so you can have the speed needed to fight anyone and match your opponents speed if they are using them too.(Practice,Practice,Practice)

What is Safeing?

This is what is responsible for so much flame and so many deaths when PKing which is just stupid in my opinion. Many people will claim that you are safeing even when you are not and maybe eating at around the same health as them. People just use this tactic to get you to eat less so they have more of a chance of killing you, which actually works.

I find my self eating once I go bellow 550 HP or once they equip their spec weapon. People will awlays rage at you for eating high everytime they weild their special weapon, but if you didn't you could easily die. They can hit up to 700-800 HP if they get lucky, it's not worth dieing to them getting lucky special attacks so just eat though it.

The most important thing is just to keep practacing as you won't be great at first and everyone can always improve in certain areas.
